Week 13

I have presented my project to the class and felt that I didn't do as well as I had hoped. I knew what was on the presentation but I let my nerves get the best of me and I forgot everything that was on my slides. I also wasn't able to be as loud and clear as I had wanted because I had gotten sick and currently have a sore throat. I wish I would have put more effort into my presentation and made it to the best of my ability. I should have pushed to do better. If I could do it over again I would have made my presentation better. I also would've worked on my website a little more. I'm still unsure as to why my website was unable to be put up. I am not an expert on technology and creating a website therefor I will not know. I will however try to get my website up and submitted to Mr.Lee before the end of the week.
 My 20% Project Presentation

Week 12

As I put my presentation together I've realized it needs more pictures. Luckily, I will be attending Disney's 24 hour event. I believe that pictures of the park late at night and while the sun rises will be just what my presentation and blog need. I will try to get as many pictures as I can throughout the night. I would like to include many pictures from Cars Land because I believe it is the most beautiful sight late at night. The night sky is dark and the section of the park is lit up with all the bright neon signs that resemble Radiator Springs. The designers of the Cars Land section did an absolutely amazing job of bringing the onscreen town of Radiator Springs to life. Everything down to the gravel on the ground resembles the town from the movie. I would also like to get pictures of the World Of Color because the show is just incredible. All the colors and lights are an amusing sight that many love to see.

Week 11

This week I have been planning the layout of my website with all the information I've gathered over the last eleven weeks. I have also thought about adding video clips of all the attractions at the theme park. This will give everyone a visual of what they'll be able to experience at the famous theme parks.  I also began to wonder if I will continue to add new information about the theme parks and events occurring at the parks once our twenty percent project is over. I feel as though I should because as I continue to go to the park more often I will learn more things I can share with others. The site will not be my main priority in life but I will occasionally add to it and edit things. The theme parks are constantly having new additions or changes whether it be a new show or a different parade. I would like to keep tabs of all the changes and upcoming events for the future guests.

Week 10

The weeks have gone by so fast and it is almost time for my project to be finished. As the end nears I am beginning to wrap up my twenty percent project. I've begun thinking about the many ways I can present all the information I've collected over the past few weeks. After much consideration I've come to the conclusion that I will create a slideshow presentation about my project. I will talk about why I chose the topic I did and the process to create it. In addition to the slideshow presentation I will also be creating a website that has all the information I've gathered. For the website I will ensure everything is categorized to help people find exactly what they are searching for. To give the website a boost I will include visuals such as pictures of the theme park, shows and food. I would also like to include a suggestion and review comment box so others are able to share their own opinions of the park.

Week 9

For the ninth week of my 20 percent project I began reviewing the shows and parades at the Disneyland theme parks. The park doesn't just have thrilling rides and delicious food; they have some of the most magnificent shows and interactive parades. The shows and parades change throughout the time of year and vary on the holidays. Disneyland parades and shows are different than the ones offered just across the gates at Disney California Adventure Park. In the Disneyland park the parade currently being offered is Mickey's Soundsational Parade. The shows currently being offered is the Jedi Training Academy, The Royal Theatre and The Laughing Stock Company. Just across the walkway in Disney California Adventure Park the parades currently being offered is Pixar's Play Parade, Phineas and Ferb Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party and DJ's Dance 'n Drive. The shows currently being offered is World of Color and Disney's Aladdin- A Musical Spectacular.

Week 8

This week I began getting information on hotels surrounding the Disneyland theme parks. I've read reviews people have posted and have looked at prices. I've also researched different prices of the hotels and their qualities. Along with that list I've included hotels that serve free breakfast, have a pool and are within walking distance of the theme park and restaurants surrounding it. Many families are exhausted after a long fun-filled day and wish to stay in a nice comfortable place that feels just like home. Prices on the hotels may vary depending on the time of year(i.e holidays, weekends and special events). For an extra special trip guests may want to spend an evening or two in one of The Disneyland Hotel's Signature Suites. These signature suites are great for children. It is an amazing experience for children. Although it is a tad pricey, I truly believe every penny is worth it to create an unforgettable experience.

Week 4

In week 4 of my 20 percent project I began doing a review on all places to eat at the theme parks and the area surrounding it. I've been going to Disneyland since I could even walk and have enjoyed numerous meals at one of the happiest places on earth. The theme parks aren't just famous for their memorable characters, thrilling rides and majestic parade. Disney is also known for their scrumptious treats and mouthwatering meals. That is why I included a list of must have treats to try. In my project I included a list of dining areas that are family friendly and are great options for those dining with children of a young age. On the other hand there is a list of restaurants that tend to cater more towards adults who wish to have a nice evening with their significant other without any interruptions such as children. My reviews are categorized to help families find the perfect restaurant for their dining needs.

Week 3

This week I began ride reviews for Disneyland. I included my thoughts on certain rides and added a list of rides that are a must for people to go on when they visit the theme park. I also discovered that Disneyland isn't a place for people who enjoy fast and adrenaline rushing roller coasters. The park caters to family friendly rides and fun which is exactly what you'll get from the park. I also made sure to include average wait times for certain rides, best times to ride certain rides and when to get fast passes. For my project I added a list of what rides would be appropriate for children depending on their ages. In addition to that list I included the height ranges for all the rides to show parents what rides their children are allowed to go on.  There are plenty of rides for both parents and children to enjoy at the well known theme park.

Week 2

It is the beginning of week two and after a lot of thinking I think I may have found the perfect idea for my 20% project. I have decided to do my project on the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. Some of my fondest memories as a child were trips to Disneyland with my family. Even now as a teenager some of the most memorable times that I've had with my friends are at Disneyland. It is a place where dreams do come true and you're able to act as a child again. Once you enter those gates, you're entering a whole new world full of characters we've all grown to love, some of the best food you'll ever eat and the most thrilling rides. I enjoy this wonderful place and hope to use my knowledge of the theme park to help enhance someone's trip to the park be as fun-filled and memorable as possible.

Week 1

This week I began my 20% project. I wasn't sure what I would do at first. A few ideas came to mind but I'm not certain of which I will do. We were told to do the project on something we knew or were familiar with. That led me to look into some of my interests. This made me realize a few things. One of them being I have very little interests that others may enjoy too. I began to dig deeper and look at the things I really enjoyed in life and tried to see if I could use my knowledge of those things to benefit someone else's life. One of those being playing the ukulele. I found that rather difficult since I cannot teach others due to the fact that playing that beautiful instrument was something that just came easy to me. I didn't have to think about what chord comes next or how to strum. It's also something that comes so easily but is so hard to explain to someone who wants to know more about it. Therefor that idea was no longer an option and I was stuck still trying to find a topic for my project that would come naturally to me but not too natural that I couldn't explain it to anyone. Now I'm ending week one of my 20% project with no clue of what my project will be on.
